Meet Ceci

It can be so draining, frustrating, and overwhelming to deal with a loved one’s addiction.

I know, because I have my share of loved ones who struggle with various addictions.  And I have struggled right along with them, as I tried to save them from their addictions.  It has taken me a long time to realize and accept that the only person I can ultimately fix, change, or improve is myself.   Acceptance of this fact, combined with both my personal and professional life experiences, enables me to have empathy, insight, and knowledge about the challenges of dealing with a loved one’s addiction.

If you are having a hard time dealing with a loved one’s addiction, I can help you go through the same process that I have needed to go through in my own life.  This process includes:

1.  determining exactly what you CAN control,
2.  figuring out how to accept the things (and people) that you cannot control,
3.  exploring the options you currently have available, given your specific life circumstances,
4.  deciding what you are willing, able, and ready to do, based on the options you have available, and
5.  finding the additional resources and support you may need, to follow through with your chosen options.
